The Joint Hub Fund considers applications once a year, normally in May or June. We are not able to consider unsolicited applications.
Although we are unable to accept unsolicited proposals, we’re always keen to learn about hubs working in sub-Saharan Africa. Please get in touch and introduce yourselves if you think that your work may be of interest to the Fund. Don’t be shy, we’d love to hear from you. If your space is a good fit, we may invite you to submit a proposal in the next funding round and at the very least, we’d be happy to share useful contacts and learning with you.
Please get in touch and be sure to tell us:
- The name of your hub
- Contact name and email address
- City and Country of operation
- Brief introduction to hub’s aims and activities
To be eligible, you must be a tech-driven innovation space and need to be operating in a country in sub-Saharan Africa. We won’t support hubs which are purely commercial, purely creative or which only provide computer training.
If you’re invited to apply to the Fund, we’ll send you an application form to complete. You’ll be asked to introduce your organisation, provide some information on the background and context in which you are working, to outline your activities and plans for the future and to provide a budget. It is also useful for us to see your annual accounts.
We’ll only invite you to apply if you fit many of our criteria but regrettably we can’t support every application which is received. There are so many great spaces across the continent, we simply can’t support them all. However, we will always try to give thorough feedback on any application which is not supported.
