A couple of weeks ago I wrote you you about how Focal Integrity Cameroon supported communities to use financial data to expose corruption and demand better services, bringing new classrooms to school children in Buea.
It’s not often we journey beyond the African continent on this blog but I’ve written a case study outlining how school children in Palestine managed to successfully work with government to bring a clean, safe supply of water to their community which I thought I’d share with you. The project was supported by our grantee, Integrity Action and implemented by Teacher Creativity Centre.
Check out their story here.
Do any of you have other examples of how citizens have used financial data to hold authorities to account? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
