Africa Gathering will be hosting an event in the Thomas Reuters building in London on Friday 15th June which will be focusing on the role of tech hubs and start ups in stimulating private sector development and promoting social change across Africa.
The Indigo Trust has covered the cost of flights and accomodation for hub managers from across the continent and will be running a 3 hour session to explore their successes and challenges, how they are contributing to social change, how to best support incubating projects and how they can achieve financial sustainability. We will also be exploring how to enable effective collaboration between them.
Funders interested in this space will also be attending including Omidyar, SIDA, DFID and HIVOS. The World Bank will be giving a presentation and Google will be running their own session in the afternoon.
