We’re thrilled to announce that Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia and of the charitable organisation Wikimedia Foundation, has agreed to attend our Power of Information conference on 15 September. Recognised as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and a recipient of the Time 100 Award, Wales is the driving force behind one of the most popular websites. From its first entry, “Hello, World!”, Wikipedia has gone on to become a global phenomenon with more than 19 million articles in 282 languages.
Jimmy has very kindly agreed to join Will Perrin in conversation at the conference. Attendees will get to hear about many aspects of Jimmy’s work with the Wikimedia Foundation. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Jimmy for agreeing to take time out to attend our conference and look forward to greeting him and many of you in less than two weeks’ time.
